1. But If’s

Let us go forward to a time and a space,
Before the law and the rule of the inadequate,
Before the tyranny of words and language,
Before experience after qualifying experience,
And before “but ifs”, not even uttered.

A time before we believed,
And we could still see ourselves,
The space within,
And the space all around,
Infinitely small and infinitely large.

The space that connects us.
The space that is warm and cold,
Full and empty,
Love and despair,
And the reason why.

Although in Eden,
Our lives are far from fulfilled.
So then,
May I request the honour?….

Will you dance with me?
